Friday 29th June Double Waters

A very local walk to day and it doesn't get any more local tha walking out of the front door!

Down the brand new cycle track and over the Magpie viaduct.

Approaching  the new bridge....

...now fully open.

Down the footpath below to view this magnificent structure - well at a cost of £2.2 it should be pretty impressive.

Looking back from the valley below.

Following the River Walkham for a while...

An area rich in old mineworkings

On to Buckator (222) which I had never noticed before - it is well hidden in the trees.

To Double Waters where the River Walkham (left) meets the River Tavy.

Up out of the valley and back to the moor.

And on to Berra Tor (223)

Through more woods.

Then across Roborough Down and back home. 6.5 miles and the only road was the one outside my house.
