Tuesday 14th January Cramber Tor

A beautiful morning with a heavy frost and a soft gentle sun.

This is by Norsworthy Bridge.

We took the track up past Leather Tor bridge and out...

...to the open moor - Black Tor in the distance.

Then up the steeper bit and across to Cramber Tor.

This was the back view with Leather Tor and Sharpitor.

On to the leat with Cramber Tor in the distance.

At Cramber Tor with Sheeps Tor on the left.

Leedon Tor in the distance.

Gently upwards...

 ...to Cramber Pool...
...and the trig point.  It was here that Sonny went lame and for a while didn't want to walk any more. Terry called Paul to collect him from Peat Cot.
We waited at the track junction which was busy with cyclists and a runner...
...Terry soon re-joined us and we took the track back...
Down to and over Older Bridge.

Down Tor, Sheeps Tor and Burrator reservoir...

...and we returned to the cars.

Lunch in the Walkhampton Inn with Bud, Chris, Brian and Chris and a newspaper cutting from 1982 with some of us in fancy dress for the Tavistock Carnival in support of the Dartmoor Rescue Group.

With Terry, Rosemary and Linda.
